For individuals only, your ID, proof of residence, and bank account, together with a signed declaration and VAT 264. For customers and suppliers, there is a checklist included for required documents, and it can take up to a maximum of 10 business days to verify and open a trading account with us.
Yes, we make use of Ferrari Logistics for insured value goods in transit. The cost will be added to the metal suppliers’ account and statement before final payout. The logistics insurance will cover full value of the pure metal content in transit from the suppliers registered address to Bullion Works SA refinery.
Upon receipt, metals are weighed, recorded and photographed on the scale. Next the supplier is informed with photos and weights and has to give melting instructions, here the supplier will decide if all will be melted into one ingot bar together in one melt, or does he want separate melts and bars? The melted rough cast bars are weighed and with XRF tester, an estimated metal content is recorded where after the bars are drilled for sampling for the fire assay process to determine purity. We will fix the price and pay 95% of the value of the metals on the same day if we receive the metals before 2pm, the remaining 5% will be settled on receipt of the independent fire assay result and recon with our fire assay. There is a two working days turn around on the independent fire assay.
For silver we do a full 100% settlement after melting, drilling and verification of purity with XRF analyzer. With gold,the melted rough cast bars are weighed and with XRF tester, an estimated metal content is recorded where after the bars are drilled for sampling for the fire assay process to determine accurate purity. We will fix the price and pay 95% of the value of the metals on the same day if we receive the metals before 2pm, the remaining 5% will be settled on receipt of the independent fire assay result and recon with our fire assay. There is a two working days turn around on the independent fire assay.
From recorded receipt of sweeps to final remittance advise and payment options is five working days, and will begin on the first day after receipt of the sweeps.
